Review: Rimmel Stay Matte Primer

Browsing the isles at Priceline (as you do) I came across a stand displaying the new Stay Matte Primer from Rimmel, as I didn't currently have a primer after recently finishing up the MUA Matte Primer this one seemed like a good one to try. The product was advertised as "Ultra lightweight formula that minimizes pore appearance.  Controls shine for up to 8 hours.  Won't feel heavy or greasy".

This sounded promising, also since Rimmel has a big focus on matte products I figured they would probably know their stuff when it comes to mattifying skin. My first impressions however were not too favorable, it's a thick lotion like consistency and when applied it felt a bit sticky and quite heavy/thick. The squeeze tube packaging is quite nice though and makes it easy and clean to get the amount of product you want.

The mattifying aspect of it worked for only a few hours and by lunch time the effect was wholly worn off, it did keep my foundation on so in that respect it worked fine, but I honestly prefer a more matte look  and this certainly did not live up to that claim.

As you can see from these photos it is incredibly thick and if you do pick it up I recommend using as little of it as you can otherwise you will feel like there is a thick waxy layer between your skin and makeup which to me felt very uncomfortable. I will use this product up but will not be repurchasing. If you have a suggestion for a better primer below please leave a comment!

New Job Haul

Hey all, sorry for the slow posts recently, new job in combination with a computer glitch that deleted all my blog information meant hat it was a bit more difficult for me to get anything up. The issue is still being fixed and it might take a little while to completely fix it. However I did have a chance to pick up a few (okay more then a few) bits and pieces many of which were driven by me new job and new found makeup needs, so let me share!

I picked up:

Elder Scrolls Online (map edition) - I really enjoyed Skyrim and I'm totally looking forward to playing this on my days off. So far it's been a bit of a difficulty in logging in and dealing with server crashes but I'm still hopeful.

Essence gel-look top coat - On the day I got my first pay check i immediately placed an order for some Illamasqua nail polishes that have been on my mind for ages but for whatever reason suddenly went on special, also with working longer hours with lots of computer clicking I really need my nail polish to last better then it does with no top coat so i figured i would give this one a try.

Essence purple sugar nail polish - I've been seeing this color a lot of blogs and youtube videos but  couldn't recall what the name of the polish was ( Pretty sure it was from Essie) but it's a beautiful color anyway (plus it's color of the year) and it lasts really well, I was able to wear it for three days without chipping and only a tiny bit of tip wear.

Essence all about nude eyeshadow palette - I picked this up because I saw the new collection and got really excited but nothing else really struck me as being too amazing except the blush but I realized that I love my Illamasqua Katie and Hourglass Ethereal glow too much to bother with almost anything else. It's not anything tooo amazing but it's nice enough and has some nice transition tones.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette - This was actually a congratulation on new job present from my amazing boyfriend, and I've been using it everyday since. I love it to death and adore the combination of matte and shimmery shades. It smells amazing and has incredible lasting power. Full review coming soon.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance (original) - I discovered in my first week at work that my eyeshadows were doing terribly at lasting through the whole day, and regular bases (maybelline eye tattoo and Illamasqua hollow) were only doing a so-so job of keeping the longevity of my eyeshadows. They did a great job at improving the color but my eyeshadow woulds crease and slip (not attractive). I choose this one since I was so in love with my Chocolate Bar pallet that i though brand to brand would work better together and it's a pretty well thought of primer.

e.l.f blending brush - Since I no longer have as much free time to clean my brushes I decided to add an additional two brushes and though these would make an interesting comparisons to some of my other brushes.

e.l.f eyeshadow brush - I choose these two as they get the most attention on American blogs despite not being as cheap as they are over there ($1) while here they are ($3) they are still much cheaper then what other brands are offering.

Maybelline Super Stat 24hr Lipstick in Timeless Rose - Another thing i discovered in my first week of work is that my super moisturizing lipsticks were no good at lasting a day of work, and my mum swears by these so I figured it would be a good shot. So far so good though it an be drying if your not careful about using the balm side of it regularly.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes in 005 Nude,001 Black, and 004 Taupe - With less time to get ready in the morning and a limited time to get ready in these have been a great time saver and the fact that they are waterproof and super easy to use have been amazing. Really happy with these, wish I had found them before.

Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose - I loved the other two of these i have (macademia and caramel) but this one is by far my favorite, it's scent is much more subtle and seems much more hydrating then the others although that might just be because i'm more prone to use it as I love the smell so much.

Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying night treatment - Needing more sleep now but getting much less of it was threatening to wreck havoc on my skin, I needed something easy to use at the end of the night that wouldn't have any issues with my cleanser. This seems okay so far, i like how light it feels and absiors quickly but i haven't seen any amazing results as yet.

Illamasqua nail polis in Fragile and Mottle - Ah I have wanted these for a long time, ever since i saw then in Melbourne last year but wasn't quite willing to pay $23/28 when there was so many new things to try. Also if you want to pick up some of these babies, Myer is selling them atm for $5 each!

Base Compare

Well, first things first. I have too many makeup bases. I didn't used to, in fact i'm not quite sure what happened.. I used to use one up then go buy another but now I hear something or see something talking about a shiny new foundation or a cult fav and somehow here it is... Well in  attempt to stop this I thought I would take the time to compare some of these for you and also try to control my own base-addiction so I won't be buying anymore until I finish at least 6 of these. I'll note how much has already been used in the post below too.

Foundations

So my collection of Foundations includes; Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (bought start of this year), Bourjois Flower Perfection Foundation, Illamasqua Skin Base, L'Oreal Eau De Teint, NYX Matte but not Flat Foundation, Korres Vitamin Foundation, and Rimmel Stay Mate Foundation.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum - This have been my everyday foundation since the start of the year when I found it on special, it's a great match for me once it's buffed out even though on the swatch below it looks quite dark. I would repurchase this but probably wait till there was a sale again as it was good but not the amazing foundation that people had raved about.
Texture: Liquid
Finish : Dewy
Opacity: Sheer, buildable
Wear: 6- 8 Hrs
Rebuy: Only on sale
Why I haven't finished it:  It's nearing on empty, maybe a month use left

Bourjois Flower Perfection Foundation - I got a sample of this once and it was so god damn amazing I went and bought the full product full price and then tried it at home and was...deeply disappointed, it was not the smooth flawless coverage from the sample. it was thick, heavy and cake-y and I hated it but never threw it away because I still hoped one day I would find that one thing that could make it work. I would take it out every few months and try again and no luck, until last week! I finally found the one way this can be applied and look amazing - a damp beauty blender! With it you can get a very covered look but it won't feel heavy or look like you have a face full of foundation on. Success!
Texture: Liquid
Finish: Matte
Opacity: Very Heavy
Wear: 8- 12 Hrs
Rebuy: No, too difficult to work with
Why I haven't finished it: Stopped using it due to difficulty of use.

Illamasqua Skin Base - shade SB02 - I love this foundation, it's amazingly pigmented for very little product. It's very pale and a little hard to use  if i get a but of sunlight but that's not usually a concern. But the biggest problem is the packaging which is so hard that it's very difficult to actually get any product out as it's more cream then liquid.
Texture: Cream
Finish: Satin
Opacity: Medium
Wear: 5- 8 Hrs
Rebuy: Yes, if the packaging was changed
Why I haven't finished it: I save it for special occasions and the packaging is hard to use on a daily basis

L'Oreal Eau De Teint - shade 120 Pure Ivory - I've been keeping an eye on the advertised space in Priceline for weeks and lucky me it showed up just the Priceline 40% off sale came around so I snatched it up. Been using it everyday since then and I'm very much in love, it's so light and feels like there is nothing on my face. It's so effortlessly easy to blend and feels lovley, soft , and smooth to the touch.
Texture: Super Liquid
Finish: Satin
Opacity: Sheer, buildable
Wear: 6-8 Hrs , wears away well
Rebuy: yes
Why I haven't finished it: I just bought it

NYX Matte but not Flat Foundation - 04 Creamy Neutral , I picked this up last November when NYX first arrived at my local Target. I wanted to like this as the color match for me was quite spectacular however it did something no other foundation or bb or cc or any other kind of base ever has - it found dry patches on my normal/oily skin. Madness!
Texture: Cream/Mousse
Finish: Matte
Opacity: Medium
Wear: 4- 6 Hrs
Rebuy: No
Why I haven't finished it: It's the first and onyl foundation to ever cling to supposed dry bits on my screen so it doesn't look good. Might try the beauty blender on this.

Korres Vitamin Foundation - I got this is a special package along with a few Korres lip balms which are also awesome and for most of last year this was my go-to-foundation and was the one I picked to take with me to Melbourne. It's very good and long lasting foundation that is great at controlling shine and it's too bad that it's been discontinued as I do feel that it made my skin look better.
Texture: Cream
Finish: Dewy
Opacity: Medium
Wear: 6- 8 Hrs
Rebuy: Yes, but discontinued
Why I haven't finished it: I got new foundation (Illamasqua) that I was eager to try and this fell to the back of the drawer.

Rimmel Stay Mate Foundation - I picked this one up at the Priceline 40% off last November and it was probably a mistake since it's quite similar to the NYX Stay matte but not flat, it feels heavy and although the coverage is great I don't really feel comfortable in it. This one however does not stick to apparent dry patches like the NYX.
Texture: Mousse
Finish: Matte
Opacity: Medium/Heavy
Wear: 4 - 8 Hrs
Rebuy: No
Why I haven't finished it: It turned out to be si thick and heavy it didn't feel comfortable on the skin, another one for the beauty blender.

BB & CC Creams

This collection of Foundations includes; Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, Ponds Flawless Whitening BB Cream, Nivea BB Cream, Garnier Oil Free BB Cream, Revlon Photoready BB Cream and the Watsons Collagen BB Cream.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream - I saw on this some blogs and various youtube channels and it seemed to get a lot of love, I got shade 33 which is a smidgen too dark and I have worn this twice since purchase because I fell in love with the L'Oreal Eau De Taint.
Texture: Liquid
Finish: Dewy
Opacity: Medium
Wear:  4-6 Hrs
Rebuy: probably not, it's nice but I still like my Ponds BB cream better.
Why I haven't finished it: Just bought it

Ponds Flawless Whitening BB Cream- This is my favorite bb cream as it's a great match, it's a little thicker and ashy like an asian bb cream but is so much more easily available. I've gone through 2 of these and will almost certainly repurchase it again and again.
Texture: Liquid/Cream
Finish: Satin
Opacity: Medium, buildable
Wear: 8- 12 Hrs
Rebuy: Yes, have before
Why I haven't finished it: This one has been in rotation between the Bourjois health mix and is almost finished, maybe a week or two left.

Nivea BB Cream - A gift from mum when she went to Poland hence the crazy unreadable text, and i love the smell of it as it has that comforting Nivea smell but oh gosh the color is so wrong, it might as well be bright orange!  I tried it on a stay at home day to see how it lasted and it did okay, the texture reminds me of the Dove tinted moisturizer I used to use as a teenager.
Texture: Cream
Finish: Matte
Opacity: Medium
Wear: 4-6 Hrs
Rebuy: No
Why I haven't finished it: It's the wrong color, probably going to give this away.

Garnier Oil Free BB Cream - This was my first ever brand of bb creams, I used the regular before the oil control version came out and then switched over, it's cheap and works quite well. There is really nothing wrong with this bb cream but for my skin the Ponds bb cream is much better for basically the same price.
Texture: Liquid
Finish: Dewy
Opacity: Sheer, buildable
Wear: 6- 8 Hrs
Rebuy: No, have found better matches since but I have re bought it in the past and gone through at least 3.
Why I haven't finished it: Found better color matches and better lasting products.

Revlon Photoready BB Cream - This was largely a purchase made at the spur of the moment due to excitement at seeing a new BB cream (when i bought this there was maybe 3-4 or the maker, not like 30 that there are now) and I probably didn't need it but id recently finished another bb cream and obviously felt that there a gap of some sort. It's not horrible but it;s very sheer and doesn't control oil at all, so this would be amazing on someone with dry or normal skin and a good complexion. While my complexion is much improved since I was a teen my forehead can get a bit oily especially on hot summer days.
Texture: Cream
Finish: Dewy
Opacity: Sheer
Wear: 4- 6 Hrs
Rebuy: No
Why I haven't finished it: It's so sheer and hardly build-able and terrible at oil control so it fell to the back of the drawer.

Watsons Collagen BB Cream - Another present from mum, this one from Singapore and it;s amazing. Probably better then my Ponds bb cream but it is almost impossible for me to get, it's a better texture and coverage but does harden a little in cold weather and needs some heating in your hands but is perfect in summer. If it was easily available I would get this BB cream and no others.
Texture: Cream
Finish: Satin
Opacity: Medium
Wear: 8- 12 Hrs
Rebuy: Yes
Why I haven't finished it: I'm so close to finishing it, if i do it will be gone and I will never find it again. That makes me sad. Has maybe a month or so left in it.

Priceline 40% Haul

The last 2 days Priceline has been having a 40% off all cosmetics sale at which I couldn't quite help picking up a few things I've been wanting for a little while now but have thus far resisted. Well so much for that. Here are the products I piked up:

Physician's Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls (Translucent Pearls)
This a highlighter type powder, it looks quite frosty. As you can see the product looks super cute and ever since these were released I've always had an eye for this and the Happy Blusher but could never quite bring myself to pay the money for them.

Physician's Formula  Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Pearls (Natural)
Another super cute product, I've heard a lot of love and praise for these "happy" blushes but since I had my 2 NARS and 2 Illamasqua blushes i didn't feel right spending the money on a drugstore blush when i could get another one of those for an extra $15.

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation (081 Fair Ivory)
I would have picked this up much earlier if I had not been detracted my the NYX Stay Matte but Not Flat liquid foundation which turned out to be a bit disappointing but I've managed to make it work a little better. The texture on this is amazing and it literally just disappears on my skin and looks like skin! I'm so happy to have this now and plan to use it everyday.

Revlon Nearly Naked Mineral Powder Foundation (010 Fair)
I've been interested in trying a powder foundation for a little while and this one seemed like a nice one to try, what with the SPF 15. I usually only use powders which are translucent as setting powders. i'm interested in seeing if this will work for me.

Essence Studio Nails Ultra Strong Nail Hardener
I would have picked this up regardless of sale, lately I haven't been able to wear much in the way of nail polish because after several months extended every day wear my nails were completely wrecked; peeling, breaking, cracking. It was nasty, these last two - three months or so I haven't worn anything but my nail polish collection has been calling my name and I can't hold out much longer but I also don't want my nails to go through the same terror. So hopefully this will do the job.

So how did you guys go with the 40% off sale?

October 2013 Most Reached For

Better late then never right? It occurred to me that 1) Lush has Rose Jam in again and 2) My new RT Expert Face brush is amazing and you guys should totally know about it. Two of these items are making a return from last month; my Illamasqua blush in Katie which I fell in love with so much I actually didn't wear any other blush since I got this, NARS Orgasm and Deep Throat lie lonely and abandoned in my makeup storage case.Second item making a return for another month is Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction perfume, a amazing sweet and fruity perfume, though i wish it stuck around a little longer.

Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder has been my go to for a little over 2 months now an it does a fantastic job of keeping my makeup in place, getting rid of shine and has great oil control.

Can't believe it took me so long to pick up the expert face brush from Real Techniques, its so good, the short dense domed shapes bristles are perfect for applying foundation and I can't see myself going back to the stippling brush for that purpose ever again.

At the same time I'm loving using the NYX Jumbo Pencil in milk as a eye primer, it stays on all day and makes every color pop. Now that NYX is in Australia you can try it too!

Last but not least is Lush's Rose Jam shower gel, there is nothing better. I bought 3 bottles and i'm considering getting more before they are gone. Just go smell it.

(pre) Birthday Haul

So my birthday is coming in about a week and i decided to treat myself to a little gift, last year i brave the Mecca store for the first time and this year i went to the MAC counter and did my hardest to not think about the price inflation and just enjoy so birthday makeup.

After much umm-ing and ahhh-ing over which eyeshadow i wanted, i narrowed it down to Shroom, Satin
Taupe, and Wedge. However since i have been in the mood for matte eye shadows lately I decided to go with Wedge to use as a base brown and a crease or transition color.

The other thing i got has been on my radar for a while, since i started getting into makeup three years ago now i also started watching makeup gurus on youtube, most of which are American and it would make fairly regular appearances and i always thought the color was absolutely beautiful but could not really justify the purchase, but now...well birthday justification. The product is of course the MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque, the precursor to the Maybelline eye tattoos though the texture seems smoother.

Speaking of the Maybelline eye tattoos, well you may or may not have heard that a few new colors were recently released, since i already had picked up Barley Branded and Iced in Pink on the web-a-nets the other two colors that seemed much more interesting in person then on-line was electric blue and silver strike so i picked those up too. (BTW has anyone seen the maybelline pigments on line? they look awesome).

I then headed to Target to find that Target in Joondalup is doing a lot of clean up in their beauty section and there was about 6 bargain bins full of makeup stuffs including Burjois, Australis, Revlon, Set, CHI CHI, and L'Oreal amongst others. After digging around some i found L'Oreal infallible eye shadows in 036 Naughty Strawberry and 021 Sahara Treasure. I was  really surprised to see Naughty Strawberry in the pile because there was a display right next to it with the same color but those were marked as being $14.95 while i got these two for $4.80 each. This is pretty amazing as these regularly fluctuate between $21.95 down to around $12.95 so they were a total steel and i love both shades. The only downside is that now that i have finally tried these i might need to get more...

The other shadow i picked out was a Revlon satin eyeshadow in Polished bronze for $2.40, I'm not sure why it was even there as it's quite pigmented and very smooth, at least what i was able to  tell from when i swatched it at home.

I also came to the realization that i do like loose powders, I've been using a Ben Nye loose powder to set my makeup but it just gets everywhere and is so hard to use that despite the quality of the actual makeup i really don't like using it, so i picked up the Rimmel Stay Matte powder as my All about Matte from essence shattered completely when i dropped it a little while back and this one seems very well loved.

Last but not least, i along with every other blogger out there got the Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System which i really like, and since it was the day my Priceline voucher came i, it only ended up costing me $8.  I will keep using it and it really works great but in addition to that my boyfriend totally fell in love with it and is considering finding a stronger one to use.

So that's my pre-birthday haul and i hope you enjoyed it. Let me know what you want for your birthday ?

Review: Rimmel & Australis Lipsticks

As i have mentioned i have been taking some efforts to delve into some makeup and hair care that is outside my comfort zone, for lipstick that means darker or brighter colors and for hair care that means more then just shampoo and conditioner. These 3 lipsticks represent my first foray into different types of lip colors. Firstly i'm sorry that the dark purple one is all smushed up, it was like that when i picked it up and i didn't have the heart/energy/time to go back and complain. But seriously who does this?

As you can see i picked up one lipstick from Australis Color Inject line (Foxtrot) and two from Rimmel's Kate line; shade 20 (the one that was on all the advertising) and  and shade 04 both of which are seriously out my and probably most peoples comfort zones. But hell, you only live one. (probably)

See; all the advertising

Foxtrot

I fell in love with this lipstick when i first put it on my lips, i bought it despite the in store hand swatch looking dark and scary, and yeah it is kind of dark but it's good sort of dark. It doesn't actually seem as dark in these photos is in person but it falls somewhere between mauve and plum. Plus, and the reason i love this lipstick so hard is how soft and yet amazingly long lasting it is!? I've not really encountered that before, it's usually either moisturizing and disappears if you look at it wrong or terribly drying but won't come of for love or money. My total favorite of the three, i will seriously be going back for more of these, i have my eye on the shade "Can Can" , i even love how hefty the packaging feels, much more comfortably weighty compared to many lipsticks i own.

20

Shade 20 is um...wow. It's like the Pout Paste from Australia i reviewed recently but it stays around for quite a while. The color pay off is really something and it does stay for quite a while, especially if you use a lip brush ti apply it because if you use the lipstick itself it does have a tendency to "pull" on your lips and feels a bit dry especially compared to Foxtrot. A very fun color and i enjoy wearing it for something different or when i can't be bothered with more eye makeup then say...mascara.

04

Uh wow, can you say Gothic or what. It's a fantastic deep purple that on my lips seems to look more plum/burgundy. Not an everyday color for sure, but it makes a lovely stain and seriously a fun shade for parties or Halloween looks.  Another shade that really needs a lip brush to look halfway decent as it tends to bleed and blur around the lip line. Nowhere near as drying as shade 20 and easier to put on but it does move around a little more.

I'm happy with all three but Australis Color Injects will be the ones go back to, i enjoy the formula too much to let it pass by and although the color pay off on the Rimmels is quite amazing i'm not sure it's for everyone.

Priceline Beauty Bag 2013 Haul

(see catalogue here)

It's been a while since I did a haul post but I know a lot of people have been curious about the current Beauty Bag that went on sale today at Priceline, so I though I would do a bit of a haul post as well as list some of the items included so people can make a better choice if they want to pick it up.

Now the deal is that you spend $60 on selected brands, in this case Rimmel, Revlon, Models Prefer, Nude, Manicare, Burjois, Kiss, Natio, Australis, EcoTools, Sally Hansen and Savvy. Not the biggest range but decent, especially if you have a few things you might need to pick up anyway. In return you will receive a bag full of stuff worth $220 (supposedly) in value, almost entirely consisting of full size items from those ranges themselves.

So let me note that when I pick up the Priceline beauty bag, for the past 3 years (I picked up the skincare beauty bag before I was ever really "into" makeup) I usually split it with a friend or in this case my mum. We have both similar tastes but different needs so it's fairly easy to split it up between us and means no one goes home with something they really don't like. For this reason not all the items from the bag will appear in the photos because mum already took them home, but I will list them anyway.

I also want to point out that at the moment Priceline has a lot of sales specifically on Revlon, Rimmel , Nivea and Burjois. (The Burjois lipsticks which are usually $21 are currently all $10)

So, to qualify for the $60 buy in, mum and I purchased the following items;

Burjois "Vert Peptite 55" Metallic Eyeliner Teal (mine) $16
Burjois "Bleu Cinquant 54" Metallic Eyeliner in Blue (mums) $16
Models Prefer Eye shadow Quad in Grand Finale (mine) $4.99 (huh, just notice it was cheaper then listed on the floor where it said $10)
Models Prefer Bronzer & Illuminator Quad (mums) $10
Models Prefer Mystic Smudge Brush $14.99

As you can see I also picked up the Nivea Pure and Natural Toner (on special for $5.99 down from $10)

With these purchases we qualified for the BeautyBag but also for the Burjois (Spend $20) gift :) Muhahah

The Burjois gift included a Burjois blush in D'or (but this may vary), a kabuki brush and a small mirror.

The Beauty Bag on the other hand included; (there may be variations in color in individual bags)

Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Nail polish (in Midnight in NY)
Revlon Lip Butter (in Sweet Tart)
Natio Lipstick (in Flutter)
EcoToolsShower Puff
Models Prefer Brow Highlighter (what?)
Manicare Cuticle Therapy Oil
Rimmel Wake Me Up Primer (not full size like pictured on the promo)
Australis Pepperatzi Perfect Concealer
Kiss Stick on Nails(in French Manicure)
Press & Go Glue on Nails (in Red)
Burjois MAXI Mascara
Nude Mineral Airbrush Primer
Savvy Facial Wipes

For some people this will be worth it, others not so much, but I hope this helps a little.

The Beauty Bag sale will run from Thursday 11th April - Monday 22nd April 2013

New & Upcoming Products

So i feel like i have been seeing quite a bit of new stuff these last few weeks and i thought i would share them with you, if you've tried em let me know!

L'Oreal - They seem to be expanding their Nude Magique Range with a new(ish) bb and cc cream, a bb blush and bb powder. I actually have both the blush and powder and will hopefully get reviews up soon but i;m totally dying to try the bb cream as it my mum's favorite bb cream. So of course when she bought it she gave me her old Garnier oil-free bb cream which i feel like i need to finish before i can buy yet another one.....but it seems really nice from what i have tried, Any thoughts?

Australis - Compared by most bloggers to the OCC lip tars these seem pretty damn pigmented and crazy bright, i'm considering the pink one.

Maybelline - Just recently hitting shelves is the Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara, like kinda cool. They are currently running a promotion to win these; enter here http://www.maybelline.com.au/medition

Some new bright colors in the Mabeline lip range; the new ColorSensational Vivids.

Rimmel - Rimmel is now adding matte versions to their Kate Moss lipsticks which were released earlier this yes, they look a bit more wear-abe then their glossy counterparts.

They are also rocking some new "match perfection" foundation.

And a set of (4?) Duochrome metallic nail polishes called "Metal Rush".

Face of Australia - has added some new shades to their lip quenchers line. I've never tried these, but they seem popular.

Nivea - Lip Butters!

Revlon -  The Colorstay Suede look pretty interesting, i wonder how long the actual product is since the packaging is non standard.

Birthday Haul

Hmm i really should have expected that my next post would be a haul what with the birthday and stuff; still two hauls in a row makes me feel much richer then i actually am. ^^

However as all of these things were birthday presents from various friends and family and my wonderful boyfriend i am extremely grateful and feel very lucky to be the recipient of so much love and affection. Thank You.

So the only reason I'm showing these off is because they will all be reviewed (in the fullness of time) so consider this a little preview i suppose.

So here is the haul:

Essence "Ready for Boarding" Nail polish Set in 01 sending you kisses, 02 beauty on tour, 03 exits on your right, 04 via airmail! and 05 destination sunshine.

Essence "Ready for Boarding" Peel Off Base Coat in 01 carry me home
Essence "Ready for Boarding" Eyeshadow Palette in 01 beauty on tour
Essence "Ready for Boarding" 2in1 kajal pencil in 02 via airmail
Essence "Ready for Boarding" Lip and Cheek Cream in 02 beauty on tour

Essence Clear Eyelash and Brow Gel

I had the option to get the cosmetics bag too but it felt kind of flimsy despite being ultra cute, so i opted out, i have so many from Lust Have it now anyway.

Burjois Blush in Lune D'or (the NARS Orgasm dupe which btw, turns out it's not too shiny for me) Speaking of which, there is currently a 10% off voucher on their website right here which can be used in stores at Priceline

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Maxi Bronzer in 001 Sun Kiss ( i was lured by the pretty shimmery waves, they disappeared after one use)

Korres Lip Butter in Mango (so in love with this, unexpected)

OPI in Pirouette My Whistle

ecotools Bronzer Brush (this thing is amazing)

Real Techniques Blush Brush (this is possible the softest thing i have ever touched)

Australis Intense Eyeshadow Palette in "You Beauty"

Lush "It's Raining Men" Shower Gel (the liquid version of their Honey, I Washed the Kids soap)

and last but oh so totally- not-least are also from Lush, from their Emotional Brilliance Line (first looked at here) and they are; Success (silver eyeliner), Calm (blue eyeliner), Sophisticated (taupe/bronze/pink eyeshadow) and Perspective (a taupe/pink lipcream).

All in all it was an awesome day topped off with Waffles at the Pancake house (mmmmm), so next post up later this week will be about the Revlon Lip Stains and after that it's anyone's guess, but if you have a preference for anything that you see in this post just give a shout.

Have a good week :)
