Why Do I Wear Make-Up Tag
I saw this over at Beautifully Glossy and thought it looked like fun, also I'm moving at the moment so any other type of post has difficulties though i do have a few scheduled posts going up, I'm not sure when i will have Internet access after Saturday. Seemed fun anyways;
1. When did you begin loving make up?
I was never very find of makeup as a teen, it was more of a necessity to cover up acne and so for almost all my life until two years ago makeup consisted of Dove tinted moisturizer, concealer and any old blush i could find. At that point it seemed unnecessary and terribly girly which at that point in my life equated with "stupid and shallow". Happily for me that changed two years when i walked into a LUSH store and then started looking up LUSH reviews which led me to makeup and nail polish blogs and eventually makeup blogs. The whole thing came full circle when LUSH released a makeup line last year.
2. How do you feel without make up?
I'm mostly okay without makeup, but i usually will wear at least some bb cream and a setting powder with a lip color of some kind, just makes me feel more confident and like I've put in some effort for the day. Feel less slob like while at home too.
3. What do you like about make up?
I like that it makes you feel more polished and gives you time to yourself, it's both a creative outlet and in some ways a meditative one. Putting on your makeup is a moment just for yourself where you have time to think about your day, think about the look you want to express that day and what you might face. Do you want to show a professional and neutral face. or a bright and vibrant face with a lot of color. It's a way to focus on your day.
4. List three ‘Holy Grail’ items:
This is soooo easy, I'm very picky about these "HG" items and for the most part it will take a lot of time for a product to become a must have item, as in literally the best of the best, can;t live without sort of item.
My most recommended item of all time is LUSH's Fresh Farmacy , in reality this would be my number one, two and three HG item but just to play along with the tag; the other two would be the Maybelline Eye Tattoos and the Haus of Gloi Satyr Soap.
Fresh Farmacy is an amazing cleanser for combination/oily skin, it's also great as a shaving aid for girls and boys and leaves yout face feeling clean, smooth, calm and beautiful. I would never go back to anything else and even my boyfriend is a complete convert even buying it by himself when we run low.
The Eye Tattoos are hg not because of their colors but because of their adaptability; you can use them on their own as a primer, as a base and the taupe is a great contouring color. They can be used in so many ways and that's why i love them.
Lastly the Haus of Gloi soaps are amazing, and i particularly love it in Satyr, their a luxury soap and a treat to use, they make you feel like you've just spent a lot of money on a very expensive skin care package but really it's just the smoothest, creamiest soap in the world which makes you feel like a million bucks.

House of Gloi Soaps Review
In the past I've been quite vocal about the awesomeness of their scrubs, pumpkin butters, and so on. I was following a trend here really, i had never seen a review for one of their soaps. It takes me a long time to go through scrubs or butters (I've yet to finish a single Body Shop butter) as things like that are not part of my usual routine. But soap is, indeed since discovering Lush about two years ago now my boyfriend and i have become soap snobs, we always have some Lush soap on hand. Why not? It smells amazing (i like Honey i washed the kids and Godfairy) and they work very well, though seem don't scrub up the best because they don't use Palm oil.
So I ended up trying one of their soaps, in the scent Satyr (which you may remember is also the same scent i tried their bubbling scrub in) which is vanilla and blood orange, and it was amazing, literally all you could ask for in a soap - soft, bubbling, sweet scented, lasting but not overwhelming scent, cleaning!
This is unlike other soaps i have ever tried, when using it, it almost seems to leave a very thin almost oily/creamy substance on your skin when you was it which seem to moisturize your skin like crazy. At first i was a little weirded out by this but when i woke up the next morning with super soft skin i was a convert.
This time around i ordered two of the Satyr and Litchi Milk Tea, which seems to be also be very good, the little black circles you see poking out from under the label add a little roughness to wash, like a mini exfoliator. I will keep trying others, as they seem fabulous, but i officially name Satyr the most awesome number 1 soap in existence. A must have.
Oh, I also ordered one of their Valantines perfumes in "Who Needs Love" and it smells like chocolate and raspberries, it's quite a heavy scent but very lovely and makes you smell like a candy bar. Recommended

Most Reached for October 2011
Despite my absence this month (which will somewhat continue until my grad show on November 29) i still managed to get a few favorites in, and because of a lack of time three are returns from last month. So let's get to it;
Lush Rose Jam Body Wash(Limited Edition): Only one maybe two washes left and it will be gone forever. Not sure i can bring myself to do it. I can only hope it makes a return one day.
Haus of Gloi Pumpkin Butter in Ghost Puffs: Reviewd Here. Still just as awesome as last month, and totally in theme for Halloween. The whipped soap and perfume will probably make next month's post nut they arrived a little late to be included this month, plus i didn't have a huge amount of opportunity to wear it.
Haus of Gloi Lip Balm in Spun Sugar: Reviewed Here Smell of candy floss i have found it be be my most reached for gloss when my lips need a bit of r&r, which with looming graduation, portfolio printing, typography competitions etc etc they have been in sore need of as i tend to bite my lip when i get stressed.
NYX Round lipstick in Saturn: Probably my new favorite lipstick, i bought it at the same time as the NYX Lip Creames but was so taken by those that i barely tried this and this month it has been a savior. Rushing around this was my go to lipstick almost everyday and i can't say enough about the color; it's a lovely frosted berry color with the slightest hint of gold. This slight metallic hint gives this lipstick a wonderful 3d effect on the lips and it stays on 6 hrs plus. Will definable repurchase, Massive surprise here.
Essence Lash & Brow Gel Mascara: This has been a lifesaver this month where lots of pictures have been taken for end of year catalogs and such and these do a perfect job of keeping your eyebrows nice looking and not feel crunchy.
Essence Pas de Copper: Reviewed Here. Best best best eyeshadow, stays on for years and years, super soft to apply (much more so then the eye tattoos) and i would love to see more of these. This will probably my go to eyeshadow for a long time to come)

Haul: Haus of Gloi (Autumn 2)
My Whipped Soaps arrived today, this makes me incredibly happy. Since i started my tryst with Haus of Gloi these have been unavailable due to the hot weather in Oregon so when i heard they were coming back in stock i stayed up playing video games till 5 am and ordered it when they went live. Good thing too since the next morning one of the soaps was already sold out. (It's okay they have since restocked and seem to be a little more readily available). For my earlier review of the first half of my Autumn Haus of Gloi look here.
So the purchases this time around were;
Whipped Soap in Ghost Puffs (popcorn and marshmallows yum) (sold out at time of post)
Whipped Soap in Red Roan (strawberries, maple syrup, porridge and white cognac)
Whipped Soap in Spider Silk (mint, grey musk, amber, oakmoss, torchwood, copaiba resin, and violet leaf)
Perfume in Ghost Puffs (I'm in love) (again sold out at time of post)
Lip Balm in Banana Bread (like it says)
Lip Balm in White Rose and Red Currant (more rose then red currant)
Handmade Soap in Satyr (blood orange and vanilla)
+ sample perfume in Saft Ernte (Peach ,spices ,pumpkin, hazelnut cream and orange blossom water)
+ sample perfume in Saft Ernte (Peach ,spices ,pumpkin, hazelnut cream and orange blossom water)
So far I'm in love with the whipped soaps and will try to do a proper review, I'm starting of with Spider Silk and from my first use i can say it's very soft and kind of like a slightly hardened cream that melts as soon as it it gets a bit warm or wet.
However, after using it twice at this point i have to say I'm amazingly surprised by the Handmade soap, and will 100% be purchasing more of these. I usually use Lush soaps and basically never use regular supermarket soaps anymore. I've been spoiled really, i thought lush soap was the best that soap in a block could get.
I was wrong, lush soap was a gateway soap, because soap from Haus of Gloi is actually where it's all at. My issue with Lush soaps has always been that about 50% of them don't lather all that great. The Satyr soap i got is magic, when you put it on it's smooth and basically glides on with little effort and leaves behind what i would best refer to as a soap oil layer; not greasy or yucky but just like a watery layer of the soap almost a gel. You then lather this stuff and the rest of the soap goes back to the shower caddy. Then it lathers, like crazy and feels and smells wonderful.
My boyfriend says i've spoiled him with this, no longer are we as a haus-hold satisfied with regular soap but must important our decadent soaps from America. Damn you Haus of Gloi you win this round.

Most Reached for September
Looking at this months most reached for items it seems to have been a very indulgent month, smell wise at least. Not much in the way of make up too much, not much has changed in my everyday routine except for the addition of the NYX lip creams. So here we go;
Lush Rose Jam Body Wash(Limited Edition): I'm in love with this stuff, I'll be ordering more as soon as it's back up on the website and am seriously considering starting a petition to get this stuff to be not so limited because if it disappears completely i will be a very sad panda. I'll try do a full review soon but it makes me giddy just smelling it; it smells like Ro's Argan Body Conditioner! (also it doubles as awesome shampoo)
Haus of Gloi Pumpkin Butter in Ghost Puffs: Reviewed Here You are probably sick of me raving about Haus of Gloi, but come on! It smells like a Carnival; marshmallows and popcorn. Plus it's crazy moisturizing. I've since ordered this in both Whipped Soap and Perfume variety.
Haus of Gloi Lip Balm in Spun Sugar: Reviewed Here Ditto, the smell of candy floss is delicious but not overwhelming, Thank god it;s not flavored or the whole thing would be gone by now. I really like the consistency of this and I'm looking forward to trying more but i can't think of a sweeter scent then this.
NYX Lip Cream in Antwerp: Reviewed Here I wasn't sure how much i liked these till i was considering what to include in this months fav post, and i realized i used this more then any other lip product this month. I think the biggest pull for me, besides the color, is the feeling that you are not actually wearing anything on your lips, it's so incredibly light. Great for lazy days too.
Sukin Rose Hip Oil - I've mostly switched to using Rose hip oil for my moisturizing on my face and this is the second brand that I've tried and honestly i like the A'kin version better this one just smells way too strong and is really orange when it first goes on. It doesn't stain but it's just a bit off putting. Still it'd definitely a everyday use item so it makes the list. It works reasonably well but again i feel like the A'kin did a better job.
Dove Foaming Make Up Remover - A fan favorite here, i choose to purchase this after my last few make removing napkins felt really rough on my skin and the further they got in the packet the more painful it seemed to be so i wanted something much more gentle and have heard awesome stuff about this. This product seems to have won several awards and I'm not surprised, it's managed to get off even heavy eye-make up without harsh scrubbing.
Have you tried any of these?

Review: Haus of Gloi (Autumn)
It Started with a Bubbling Scrub....
Ah, i never expected to fall in love with Haus of Gloi like i have; it was a funny little company with strange products that i had heard of only from strangers on the Internet. I should have known better, it was the same when i first walked past a Lush store and found my nose to be thoroughly intrigued.
By this point i can tell this might become a full blown addiction, made only worse by their season released, looking at their Autumn stock it's already difficult not to picture their Yule stuff not far away, and where does it end after that? Spring! Summer! Valentines Day releases! Goodbye money.
So, as promised I'm reviewing the items i showed off in this post.
Starting with the biggest item i received;
If you have read "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern then you'll understand that that's what it smells like, like the Night Circus. Otherwise carnival and bonfire will have to suffice.
As for the pumpkin butter part; it's incredibly smooth and soft, thick almost like a body butter but not quite reaching that heaviness. It is quite light and absorbs quicker then any body butter I've ever tried, probably about a minute or so and no longer "oily/buttery" after about 5 which is pretty perfect for me, as i personally hate sitting there all buttered up not being able to touch anything.
Having said that it's absolutely not greasy or "oily" but it is very rich despite being so light. I would recommend using this maybe twice a week max as i think it might be a little too rich for everyday use. I've has a few tiny breakouts the one time i used this 4 days in a row, but no issues if i take break between the applications.

So, as promised I'm reviewing the items i showed off in this post.
Starting with the biggest item i received;
Ghost Puffs (Pumpkin Butter) (Autumn) : Wow, what to say about this, besides the fact that it has a crazy level of Yum. HoG descirbes the product as "Buttery popcorn and marshmallow goo orbs, presented on a wooden stick." Which is pretty accurate; it's a very rich and creamy scent, the Marshmallow is probably the strongest part of this but it melts away to a buttery warmth which is incredibly yummy.
Since getting this my boyfriend has threatened to try putting it on his morning toast. It really does smell like that sort of food; kind of reminds me of Marshmallow sandwich spread. It's lovely overall, maybe a little heavy for some and very obviously a "dessert/food" scent. Smelling it reminds me of carnivals or bonfires.
If you have read "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern then you'll understand that that's what it smells like, like the Night Circus. Otherwise carnival and bonfire will have to suffice.

I've has a few tiny breakouts the one time i used this 4 days in a row, but no issues if i take break between the applications.
Pumpkin Queen (Sugar Exfoliant) (Autumn) : This one is described as "Gentle hay pillows, pumpkin, ripe peaches dusted with clove and nutmeg, dried summer herbs, and lastly, a lovely crown of amber."
I find this one very hard to describe, I'm tempted to just say that that description is right on and just move on, but i don't feel like it gives you the right feeling of what to expect. It sounds almost cluttered with scents and flavors which is why i had to try it, that and it being their signature Autumn scent.
I'm going to try describe this scent but i suspect i will fail utterly so bear with me here; it smells warm and very very softly of peach or maybe even apricots. Sort of like cinnamon but without the high burnt notes; I'm not familiar enough with the scent of pumpkin to say if it's that smell or not. It does however smell...comforting, like your grandma's kitchen on a Christmas morning.
Indeed despite being the signature Autumn scent this feels christmassy to me, but i guess to people it America it would smell more Thanksgiving. It's familiar but not i any way i can immediately place; just makes me think of home, family, lots of food, comfort and safety. It's quite odd, initially when i smelled this i wasn't sure if i liked it but it certainly has grown on me, not sure if i would wear it as a perfume, it's a little too foody for that, i don't mind desert or fruit smells in my perfume so maybe this is just a little too savory for me despite a definite hint of sweetness, confusing i know. This would probably make an awesome house smell though.
Sugar exfoliant is pretty good, my boyfirend likes it better then the bubbly scrubs and it does more on his tough skin then for me, i don't think its crazy abrasive but i think i personally prefer the softer bubbling scrubs. These however don't leave any residue behind, just take a little more effort to get going.
It is somewhat harder compared to the rest of these products and takes a little effort to get it out of the tub but it's still superior in that regard to other sugar scrubs I've trief that have been way to harsh on skin and have felt nothing short of painful.
Troika (Soft Bubbling Scrub) (Standard) : "A trinity of soft milks, almond, oat and coconut, lashed with sweet agave nectar and the ethereal scent of clean white." Had i read this correct i might not have purchased it, you see, i read this as a combination of milk, almonds, oats, and coconut not as almond milk, oat milk and coconut milk, silly me.
However, despite this lack of obvious allure, i do like this one and i even know how to describe the scent! (Coming after the Pumpkin Queen scent this makes my brain happy) It smells like Marzipan. It's sweet and almond-y, so that's clearly the strongest note in this. It is clean and comfortable, kind of like the comfortable you get from taking your clothes out of the drier. Clean and comfortable but with a slight cool, bordering on minty note. The almond isn't disturbingly strong either, its very muted and candy-ish.
It's in fact quite lovely, but a world away from the previous two scents and all in all i really do prefer a sweeter scent but if i could have this as a desert or fabric softer i would never use anything again as it has just the perfect mix of clean and flavored scent that i think would make all your clothes smell delicious. Having written that it almost makes me think of something powdery like fabric cleaner or oat meal although the product itself isn't powdery whatsoever so i guess that must be part of the scent combination.
Bubbling Scrubs are (previously reviewed here) the bomb, a great whole body exfoliator and so soft it doesn't hurt a wink but does a wonderful job.
I've even has a good deal of success using this on my face specifically around my nose area and have find it far more gentle then many face-specific exfoliators. No residue, lovely finish and no fuss, a winner.
Imp (Body Emulsion) (Standard) : I've been so enamored with Ghost Puff's ,I've sadly ignored this product a little bit, and it doesn't really deserve it as it's very nice and quite fruity without being overwhelming. "This little fellow longs to be your bath time companion! Peculiar passion fruit mingling with sun cured apricots, perfectly pink grapefruit juice and innocent whispers of wet mimosa blooms" The grapefruit high notes and the passion fruit are the most clear scents that i can read from this. It reminds me a little of a jam that's how strong the fruit scents are and looking at it I'm surprised not to see bits of grapefruit in the perfectly white creme.
Unlike Ghost Puffs this one isn't heavy at all, very light and fruity and the same goes for the composition. Compared to the Pumpkin butter it's very light, this would be the everyday moisturizer and if your not into putting something as heavy as a body butter on your skin. I haven't tried it on my face so i can't comment as to whether i could be used there but it certainly seems gentle enough and in a scent less dominant i would happily do so, Troika in fact would be quite nice as a face moisturizer. It seems to absorb well, pretty standard in terms of most similar products but does feel a bit more luxurious and i would happily repurchase. (maybe in ghost puffs!)
Carmel Apple (lip balm) (Autumn) : This scent is a bombshell "Sweet warm caramel and tart apple" is supposed to be the description and it hits hard. I can smell it even when the lid is closed. Incredibly rich scent and the apple is deep in there, it does indeed smell like a caramel apple but it's a bit dark and edgy. Not sure why, but, this doesn't bring up the warm carnival attitude i got from Ghost Puffs, this is more early autumn sunsets and fireplaces. The caramel isn't overly sweet but it is almost a slightly burnt caramel scent. I like it and i also don't, it's just incredibly in your face and i almost feel like it's too much , too heavy and too rich all at once, Not to mention the scent sticks around for a while so its not always a pleasure to deal with.
Spun Sugar (lip balm) (Autumn) : Ah, another scent i can describe easily. Not because it's not complex but because the answer came to me while i was trying to get to sleep last night. Spun sugar as the name should have made clear to my sleep deprived brain is, in more colloquial terms Candy Floss! (or Fairy Floss as it's often referred to here is Australia). It's soft and sweet and terribly delicate, nowhere near approaching the punch in the face headiness of Carmel Apple. I want o buy 10 more of this just to have it never run out.
Maybe this is why Carmel Apple seems to strong because this is quite delicate but still clearly scented. It's beautifully blended and without flavor so you can get a nice sugar hit without it going straight to your hips. mm mm the blend is lovely too, it's not too soft and not too hard, hard enough not to melt and get squished against your lips and soft enough to go on smoothly without catching. Can;t fault the formula, this one is just right, a perfect lip balm for Goldilocks in that regard.
Overall everything from the Autumn collection is slightly carnival-themed, an interesting choice that i initially didn't quite notice.
Here's a quick swatch to give you a better idea of the textures of each of these.
Note; As I've been writing this i've been hitting the refresh button on Haus of Gloi every few minutes hoping their Whipped Soaps will be up soon, should be out some time today and i am going to get me some!

Skincare Haul Haus of Gloi and Lush
Since my small foray into Haus of Gloi I've been following their we site and lusting after their fall or "Autumn" collection and couldn't stop myself trying out more stuff and sitting next to my boyfriend looking up info on the products followed by loud squealing sounds of want and delight.
This was going to be all Haus of Gloi but then my Lush order turned up the same day but Haus of Gloi is where it's at. Photos go!
I decided to try one of each of their typed products; sugar scrub, bubbling scrub, body emulsion, pumpkin butter and two lip balms. They all smell lovely and the pumpkin butter in Ghost Puffs( yay full size) is so much more then i ever imagined. I'll be purchasing this in another form very soon. All these products are incredibly rich in smell and texture and are simply an indulgence to use.
Lastly my Rose Jam body wash came in! It's on line only for a limited time and the best of all? It smells like Ro's Argan Body Conditioner! You may recall i raved about the scent of the conditioner here and now there's more of it! Plus it's less expensive then the body conditioner! Remember it's limited time!
The other item was the Cherry Tree soap from the online stores "retro" collection, i have a thing for cherries and though i would give it a shot, it smells very nice kind of like citrus mixed with cherries but isn't as gentle as most of their newer soaps.
Reviews will surely be coming soon :) One I'm done rolling around on top of all this stuff like my very own personal dragon hoard.

Most Reached for August
These items will probably not be a surprise to anyone who has kept even a passing watch on this blog this month, as 4/6 of these got a review this month. I like that actually, i feel like I'm on top of things. So following are the items i reached for most this month;
Korres Mango Lip Butter: Reviewed Here This gives me ultra soft lips and i this, more then anything else has convinced me that lip balms actually serve a purpose. I would buy these again, in fact i have the wild rose version on it;s way to me now (Thank you free shipping strawberry net). There hasn't been a day since i got this that i have not used it at least once a day, usually more.
Haus of Gloi Bubbling Scrub in Satyr: Reviewed Here Love the smell but i especially love the consistency, this is the perfect amount of exfoliation for me without leaving behind any graininess (yay bubbles). The scent is great and very friendly, the product seems to last a good deal longer then i expected and i am happy to try more of these, as well as other Haus of Gloi products.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain: Reviewed Here I love this due to the long lasting color, especially the stain which means it's no big deal if i forget to reapply my lipstick. I use this everyday sometimes on it;s own or under a different color and then i have a nice fading effect during the day. I don't love the dryness this causes to my lips which might explain lip balms showing up in my repertoire.
Emotional Brilliance Sophisticated Eyeshadow: Reviewed Here The easiest most long lasting eyeshadow i own, the application is a breeze and cuts down morning makeup by a good deal of time. It lasts hours upon hours, probably up to 18 hour with little to no wear and it's a beautiful color to boot.
Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil: Since i started dying my hair with the bright pink my scalp seems to have gone very very dry and this is the best way that i have found to deal with that; even just a small amount mixed into my conditioner or directly on the head works wonders and the next day i have no issue with itching or anything ekse that dry scalp can cause. I worried that it might be a bit harsh and too strong but i have had no ill effects and i would totally recommend it if you have similar issues.
Lastly my now almost empty A'kin Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil, this was used literally everyday (well evening technically) and being new to the world of beauty products i have started experimenting with different moisturizers to see what works for me and im totoally sold on this; it applies smoothly and seems to have real results when it comes to my skin feeling hydrated and healthy the next morning. I'm not 100% on the smell so i will look at some different varieties when this one finished any day now.

Review: Satyr Bubbling Scrub by Haus of Gloi
Back to our regular scheduled blogging (that's a lie, i don't have a schedule, i post when the mood strikes me). Today we have one of the products i mentioned i wanted to get my paws on a month ago here.
Since i tried to limit myself to one i decided to go for Satyr over Honey Tree as i figured on the off chance that i hate it my boyfriend could finish it as he has a thing for Blood Orange scents.
The scent of Satyr is described on the website as "Absolutely fiendish creature! And quite frolicsome: Italian blood orange drizzled with blackened vanilla." and this is fairly accurate however the vanilla is much stronger then i thought it would be; it's a very warm buttery kind of vanilla then blends well with the fruity but not too strong over tones of the scent. Love it!
So let's take a look at the journey;
It arrived on Monday (about 2.5 weeks since i ordered it), and the wrapping and handwritten note were quite cute and were rustic and olden day-ish. I quite approve, the two samples i got were Vice (the black tube) and Mango Sticky Rice (the white). All this was accompanied by a very nice handwritten note which is always a nice touch.
This was my first time ordering skincare stuffs on line and I'm very pleased with the way in which Haus of Gloi handled everything so i definitely recommend them if you want to try something other then the store brand stuffs.
This post will be picture heavy as when i was trying to find out about these there wasn't too much to go on, mostly just bottle shots and very little to give you any idea of what the texture might be like.
When you first open it the container has a red safety seal on it which i think is pretty damn awesome for a small-ish on line company that could very easily not have bothered with this. When you first take the seal of the smell is quite lovely but a little muted, and doesn't come out very strong till you did your mitts into it and then it just invades the whole house.
As you can see in this picture the texture is quite fluffy and has a sort of silky milk softness to it which i assume is all the moisturizing goodness of the scrub. The sugar granules aren't too big or too soft, about the size of what you find in your coffee in the morning but the foaming and leather aspect of the bubbling scrub mean it's not very rough but still does a very nice exfoliation.
This is how much i have gone through in 4 washes, (3 for me and 1 for the boyfriend) and a little really goes a long way, once again because it's a bubbling scrub not just a regular old boring scrub the product is easy to move around on your skin and after a bit of rubbing in you can move on to another bit and then it just fades away with no residue.
This is way more product then you need but i wanted to show the texture and how easy it is to use, the smell does stick around for a few hours but it's not in your face but a nice muted version, it doesn't leave any film and for my skin is very moisturizing and not too rough. I highly recommend giving these a shot.
As for the two samples here are some quick thoughts;
VICE : "Steam billows rolling off a vessel of fresh made Turkish coffee, marshmallow goo tainted by graham cracker crumbs, toasted hazelnuts and blanketed in black chocolate." This smells very much like a carmel coffee scent with very yummy overtones that make your mouth water just smelling it, would not mind a scrub or something of this at all.
MANGO STICKY RICE: "Sweet mango, coconut infused rice and toasted sesame." I'm not quite as fond of this, as i can't really see myself wearing a "rice" scent even though it is on the sweet side and the coconut clearly helps balance it out but the "rice" smell is a bit strong for me, i prefer desert or fruity kind of scents.
I consider this to be a timely review as on August 19 (how did they know it's my birthday?) they will be releasing their Fall collection full of warm buttery scents and Halloween themed stuff, return of whipped soaps that i really want to try, seasonal lip balms and all sorts of really tasty..uhm good for your skin stuff.
You can find out more at their blog here or their facebook page.
DISCLAIMER: Please don't eat Hous of Gloi products :)
All in all great product, awesome delivery times and very friendly customer service.
Have you tried any of the Hous of Gloi stuff?

July Want
Considering other things i want to try over the next few weeks or things I'm obsessively googe-ing on the interblobs. I though i would share/organize my thoughts as to the specifics.
- New Blush Brush - preferably angled one. Mine is a leftover from the days before i liked the pretty makeup-y things. Now that have a few nicer brushes i can see what a disaster mine is. It hurts, it's prickly and doesn't pick up color very well or make it easy to blend. It needs to go.
- Intertubes! from Shiro Cosmetics. I saw these on Don't They Know Who I Am and have been telling everyone who will listen (many who don't care) that Nyan Cat and Rickrolled are lipbalms/lipgloss! So much Want. The one's I'm particularly eyeing are Rickrolled, Over 9000, Three-Wolf-Moon, and Yo-Dawg. Maybe a few eyeshadow samples if im brave.
- Honey Tree Bubbling Scrub from Haus of Gloi. I also blame Don't They Know Who I Am for this. but now the want is there and this is the one i have my eye on, the other im considering is Satyr.
Here's what they say about this perticular frgrance "Quite rich! Right from the bee hive - honey amplified by seductive essence of resinous vanilla, darkened by a passing waft of mild rare wood smoke." Honey & Vanilla? I am there.
The other, Satyr is listed as "Absolutely fiendish creature! And quite frolicsome: Italian blood orange drizzled with blackened vanilla." A bit more for the boyfriend then me but it's hard to say no to blood orange no matter in what shape is decided to appear. -
Black Magic Soap Have seen this one often on numerous blogs and im thinking it might be time to give it a try myself. It sounds lovley and full of good face things. Plus, pretty pattern!
- 50's Girls Reloaded Collection Coming way late to Australia, (July 2011 in America) there are a couple of items here pulling at my heart strings; the two lipsticks; not to fussed on the dark red but since there are only two and they look so darn cute i might as well. I believe they go by the names 01 back to the 50’s and 02 i’m sailing. Also the red and gray/blue nail polish seem interesting but i might already have those colors so gotta see those ones in person. Then maybe if I;m very brave the 03 come on board captain eyeshadow set. Eyeshadows are new territory for me.
- Season of Extremes Collection. This one is actually relatively on time here, originally released in March 2012 (outside Australia) the nail polishes here are calling to many, some of the pastels, some of the brights, even the duo colors (though I'm not sure how i will house those, they wont fit in my nail polish box). Being a cheap cheap brand Essence is the only company I'm willing to splurge a little on.
On a less beauty oriented note:
I want to try this, i'm told it's like fire emblem and ff tactics and it has pokemans.
Wish me Luck :)
